Pioneer High School Equestrian Team 2005:
District Champions,Regional Champions, and Fourth Place State Champions

Prince is our fantastic Hackney pony and cart driving king! Originally purchased for Gerry's grandson's 4th birthday, Prince absolutely loves pulling a cart and Gerry just loves driving him when she has time! We could not ask for a sweeter and any more cooperative little guy!

And there is........
MSU Checkmate, an Arabian gelding from Michigan State Univerisity's Arabrian breeding program, nicknamed "Trooper" ('cause he's a "state boy"!) started out in pleasure at MSU. When collected and on the bit he is beautiful...however, we have found his heart, passion, and athleticism is pretty hot in gymkhana! Trooper is a sweetheart in a horse's body: he loves attention and people and summer camps!

June 10, 2011
(humanely euthanized 6/27/11)
Irish, a Thoroughbred gelding foaled in 1975 spent his life at 6090 Dell Road passing through the care of 9 property owners.(John Henry could only be so lucky to have looked this good and been this loved...) Irish's owner, Kathleen lives in North Carolina, and we put pride and love in taking very good care of her boy! Irish had an extensive background in eventing, dressage, arena jumping, and trail riding. He was all business and delighted when we occasionally put a little lesson rider on his back. We loved Irish as if he were our own. His gentlemanly presence in our barn and heart is greatly missed.
Raiden, an amiable Painted Walker gelding in training with his owner Konrad, performs astonishing feats of obedience and cooperation through Natural Horsemanship.Wow! Started under saddle by Konrad in the summer of 2010, Raiden is coming along like it's all too easy!
Talon,a handsome Painted Walker owned by Jen is a wonderful trail and pleasure horse. He and Jen have joined our barn group being a part of riding in local area parades!

First Callis a positively delightful, gaited Kentucky Mountain Horse gelding! Jim says his horse "is a 'pickup truck,' he is not the prettiest or the biggest, but he gets the job done!" First Call is another favorite lesson horse because of his patience and easy to ride lateral gaits. He has been shown English, western, saddle seat, gymkhana, drives and is an excellent trail horse. Jim has done team penning, hunted, and fired rifles from his back. Talk about a solid, dependable horse!

Norman (a can-he-get-any-cutier? Morgan gelding with his debonaire and rakish forelock and mane, cuts quite the image!) Norman's owner, Sherri rides saddle seat and drives the countryside with Norman. Norman is also an excellent trail horse.
Willow, a lovely, 22 year old Thoroughbred mare has a lot of spunk for her age. She and her owner, Ashley, have been partners since 2000. Together they haveshown rail classesatSpur Open Horse Shows, 4-H,Saline Equestrian Team, Stony Ridge, Haverhill, and Lenawee County shows. (photo taken inside our second indoor arena.)
Scout, is a Morgan gelding with energy to burn and looks to go with it! Owned by Jill, Scout goes huntseat, flat saddle, and dressage.

Lady Poco Blu, is just a sweetie paint mare owned and ridden by Kay! They both are working on being ready to trail ride again, just as soon as spring arrives again!
